Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

StageManager is a production-management application operated by Unravel LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information we collect through stagemanager.tech and the StageManager app, how we use it, and the choices you have. For questions, email contact@stagemanager.tech.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password (or an identifier from your sign-in provider, such as Google). Organization owners also provide an organization name and billing details processed by our payment processor.

Production data you provide

When you use the app you create content — shows, events, shifts, projects, messages, expense receipts, photos, RSVPs, hours, member profiles, and similar records. This data belongs to your organization and is visible only to members of that organization based on role and group membership.

Usage and device information

We collect basic product-analytics events (page views, feature usage, device type, browser) to understand how the app is used and to fix problems. We do not sell this data and we do not use it for advertising.

Communications

If you email us or use in-app feedback, we keep that correspondence to respond and improve the product.

3. How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve StageManager.
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Send transactional email and push notifications you've opted into (schedule reminders, RSVP requests, mentions, billing receipts).
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Diagnose problems and prevent abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your production data to train third-party AI models.

4. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)

Where GDPR applies, we process personal data under one or more of these bases: performance of a contract (delivering the service), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), consent (push notifications, optional features), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We share personal data only in these limited cases:

• Other members of your organization, based on roles, groups, and permissions you and your owner configure.
• Service providers ("subprocessors") that help us run the product — see the list below. They are contractually bound to handle data only on our instructions.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• Business transfers: if Unravel LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may transfer to the successor, subject to this policy.

6. Subprocessors and service providers

We rely on a small set of vendors:

• Supabase — database, authentication, file storage, and serverless functions.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (account, billing, notifications).
• Google — optional Google sign-in.
• Featurebase — in-app feedback and changelog widget.
• Lovable — application hosting.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your organization's account is active. When an organization is deleted, we delete or anonymize its data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal, accounting, or security reasons (for example, payment records). Backups are purged on a rolling basis.

8. Security

We protect data in transit with TLS and at rest with industry-standard encryption. Access to production data is scoped by row-level security so members only see data for organizations and shows they belong to. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can edit most of your profile data inside the app, or email contact@stagemanager.tech and we'll help. Organization owners are responsible for handling requests about their own members' production data.

10. Children's privacy

StageManager is designed for use by adults coordinating theatre productions. Minors (for example, student performers) may appear in show rosters added by an organization owner; that data is managed by the organization, not collected directly by us from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

StageManager is operated from the United States. If you access the app from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our subprocessors operate, under appropriate safeguards.

12. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage only for things needed to run the app — keeping you signed in, remembering your selected organization and theme, and storing anonymous analytics IDs. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

13. Email, push, and notifications

We send transactional email (account confirmation, billing, security) that you cannot opt out of while your account is active. Notification emails and web-push notifications are configurable in your profile. We do not send marketing emails.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you in the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
